Bring an authentic experience to the classroom

Facilitating a better understanding of the rights and freedoms of our people

SACE Stage 1 & 2
Outdoor Education

In SACE Stage 1 and 2 Outdoor Education, students are given opportunities to explore and understand the interactions between humans and natural environments, considering a range of perspectives.

One of the important perspectives that students explore and understand is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and perspectives from the past and the present.  Students are encouraged to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and connections to Country and to recognise and respect their significant contribution to Australian society as we seek solutions to sustainability issues.

Year 10 History Rights &
Freedoms Presentation

Create a unique and immersive learning experience for your Year 10 History classes with our specialised program tailored to the Rights and Freedoms unit.

Our Tribal Expertise Facility is excited to offer a presentation, grounded in authentic Indigenous perspectives, and guided by the South Australian Curriculum.

By engaging with us, not only will your school enhance your schools Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), but it will also deepen the students' understanding of Indigenous rights and freedoms. Our program aligns seamlessly with educational objectives, fostering an environment of truth-telling and genuine reconciliation.

Secure your spot today and offer your students a unique lens into Indigenous history and culture. Choose between single or double lesson durations to best suit your classroom needs.

Availability: Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year.

Spaces are limited in 2024, so please book early to ensure your class can be accomodated.

Also Available

Assemblies

We put on events for schools where kids can hear tribal stories, make crafts, and play traditional games. It's all about learning by doing, and getting a real feel for how the tribes live and what they value.

Teacher Workshops

Teachers can join our workshops to learn about local tribal history and culture. It's a simple way to add real tribal stories and facts to your classes.

Welcome to Country

Offer a special welcome at the start of school events to show respect for the area's original tribes. It's a quiet moment to recognise the history of where we're standing.
